CCE (Connected Care for Elderly Persons suffering from Dementia) is a EU project which aims at helping dementia patients -- and elderly people in general -- perform their daily routine through intelligent technology whilst empowering them to remain in their familiar home environment.
After a thorough research phase the project team decided to realize a dementia diary using software and hardware. This "CCE product" consists of a network of services, sensors and devices as well as a central interaction touch point in the patient's flat.
To that end, the team first defined and developed a common technology base. We then designed a practical and user-friendly in-home product, involving user groups and experts in all steps of the development process.
